The process of making this work is very simple, download the fix package for the version of operating system that you have (x86 or x64 or Windows 10). You will be presented with a zip file, unzip the file and you will then get to the EXE installer for this fix.
Install the file on your machine and then reboot your machine and then try and connect to your VPN connection again, you should now find that your Cisco VPN Client connects successfully.
This fix has been tested on Windows 8, 8.1 and 10 and works with all of these operating systems.
If you wish to add this to your SCCM environment for the Software Catalog or OSD processes, or if you wish to deploy using Group Policy, you can use the following installation script to install this software using the MSI:
msiexec.exe /i "MSIFILENAME.msi" /q /norestart
- msiexec.exe – to start the MSI installer process
- /i – to install the product
- “MSIFILENAME.msi” – the filename of the MSI file
- /q – silent installation
- /norestart – to stop the computer restarting itself
